In a joint operation between Thailand and China, authorities successfully seized $2.5 million worth of cryptocurrency assets from two Chinese nationals suspected of large-scale scam operations. The suspects, Ye Wanyou, 29, and Li Weijie, 30, were arrested at a luxury property in Bangkok. During the arrest, they attempted to delete data from their phones but were subdued before destroying potential evidence. Initially, $44,550 in assets were confiscated, but further investigation with Chinese law enforcement led to the discovery of additional hidden crypto wallets containing the remaining amount.
